This is not a drill.
This is not some lead up
to some sick punch line.
Their father flew them out of the country August 23rd, 2007 and
didn't return them.
Their destination was Dubai. (they have now been moved to Sudan)
Someone had been helping him back in Las Cruces and
cleared out his apartment for him.
 I need ANY and ALL information leading up
to either who has been helping him, or how
I can locate these kids in Dubai would
be greatly appreciated!

Omar called in October!
He told us where they are which is in Khartoum, Sudan. He wants to come home, but the laws in Sudan are very strict. He doesn't have the independent right to leave until he is 21 yrs old. The embassy there has been negotiating two things aggressively since we've known their location. 1) my right under Islamic law to have a relationship with my children. 2) The children's ability to leave the country.
So far negotiations with the father have been difficult. He is refusing to do anything until the INTERPOL notices are dropped. However the only guarantee I got from law enforcemnt regarding the notices is that they will be removed if the children are allowed to return.
I've already forgiven him, however law enforcement will not. Once the kids come back, I will work vigorously to make sure they hold up to their end of the bargan to have them removed. In the end I desire peace.

Sunday my FBI agent called me, and of course I was excited to see the FBI call me on a sunday....
They pinpointed some people living in The USA still and The FBI is visiting them soon.
Rami wil be plastering their town with posters (Rami is my case worker for the NCMEC) and hopefully make sure one gets placed in their mailbox.
we are getting ever so much closer to bringing them home so please don't stop praying!

Yay, something else to report =)!
Well spoke to my FBI guy today. They were finally able to
acquire his Sudanese Passport number. They don't have
the #'s for the children, but this is a HUGE roadblock that
was removed with the discovery of this information.
The New FBI agent has also been pestering the brother
on a regular basis and was even considering charging
him with something since he bought the tickets and
posting him to interpol as well =). It may be easier to
pick him up for human trafficking, and the best way to
get the family's attention.
I am really excited about how things are moving. The
passport number is probably what will help us confirm
where he went/is/is not.

Hello Everybody!
I just spoke with someone on sunday who is going to assist in the location of the children. He is grown now, but was a child that was taken to the middle east by his father and step-mother. He assists from time to time in helping the left behind parent gain contact with the children. Once contact is made he gets out of the way. He has a job to keep, so I will respect his wishes to remain unknown. Please everyone give thanks to God that we have some extra help contacting them going into the holiday.
Also acting on absolute faith that they will be here shortly (there are other diplomatic things going on that I am not yet at liberty to discuss) I've begun to make christmas and travel preparations so everything is ready for their return. (does anyone know of an inexpensive way to acquire the original X-box?) It would be great fun for them to come home to a pile of christmas cards telling them "Merry Christmas and Welcome Home!" I also plan on decorating their rooms a bit with that thought in mind.

Something to REPORT!
It may not be huge news, but the long awaited interpol "Red Notice" has been posted. It is linked to the yellow notices for the children on the interpol website.
What does this mean? It means that two guys, one
from the state dept and one from the NCMEC will be approaching the UAE government within the week to
ask for their assistance in apprehending this fugitive, and while they're at it allow me to pick up the kids
in the process.
Where does this leave me? Where I thought I was a little over a month ago. Waiting for a phone call regarding my travel arrangements. It would be a blessing from god to have them back before christmas!
The regular monday night prayer meetings have concluded at my mother's church, but that
doesn't
mean we still can't all stop what we are doing at 8pm mountain time on monday nights and pray for their
safe and quick return.

So the Las Cruces DA's office confused the heck out of me a couple of weeks ago when I got a call saying that Q had an arraignment hearing yesterday. Long story short, the Detectives wouldn't tel me if they had him in custody or not and told me not to call them anymore. "you really need to be asking your FBI agent this" Well, outside of my FBI agent being on a move, he couldn't magically tell me what Las Cruces was up to. Several phone calls later, the victims advocate informed me that they just scheduled a hearing and sent him a summons in the mail (to the adress they had on the police report).
So I went to the Arraignment yesterday, and he wasn't there (anyone surprised?) and they set bond at $50,000 secured. I was not given an opportunity to request that it be higher.
Tuesday,October 30, 2007 Update
So here I sit waiting. Remember those interpol notices that should have already been posted a month ago?
Still not posted.
I understand that something called a diffusion went out yesterday afternoon which precedes the red notice for interpol. and it will be another three weeks before the red notices will post.
It's been more than 2 months since he left the country with them so now I don't have any more information on the status of their visas, if they traveled, renewed them, got a job, whatever.
I will be pursuing a civil rights case in NM demanding that they fund the efforts to return my children.
keep praying that the red notice goes through quickly, that the NCMEC can finally have their permission seeking trip to the embassy and then I can finally go get them.
That's all I've been waiting on for the past month is the phone call that says "the notices have posted, we've recieved permission from the government. they're locating him right now, and your plane leaves in "x" hours"

Richard at team hope has been trying to keep me busy doing constructive things regarding the
safe and speedy return of Omar and Nadia to the United States.
The LINK below is a word document that is a letter that you can send to your
congressman, representative, President, head of any law enforcement/judicial agency that you can think of.
Please fill it out and mail it in, and have everyone you know or don't know do the same. I'm praying that this will get the extra help we need in having him arrested on the existing charges over there and bring the children home quickly.

I got his brother's (Tariq) phone number from the Airline.
He's the one that bought the tickets.
I
called it and pretended like he didn't know a thing.
I didn't tell him that I knew about the tickets or how I got his number,
just that it was a long story and that I was sick
with worry about my children.

Positive developments
1) My employer is going to help me get out of the hole financially
so I can put money toward recovering the children.
2) Joe ( Jennifer's husband) found a new job, he starts 1 week from Wednesday.
You can soon call him Trucker Joe.
3) As of Monday, the hunt wil be officially on.
The FBI agent working my case forwarded all the info regarding
the case to the agent in Dubai. I need to pressure my lawyer
to get my orders done ASAP.
Please don't forget prayer night. I'm hoping that with all the
chanting and praying going on simultaneously we will finally
achieve the result that we are looking for and that is the call to
go get them and bring them home!

Well, nothing really new as far as information goes,
but now that Labor Day weekend is over officials are
starting to play "catch-up" with their investigations.
What's being done here:

The investigator with the connections in Dubai and other areas in the
middle east informed me of some of the costs associated with finding,
then retrieving kids from the middle east, but there are no guarantees.
Just to find them can run from 5-10 thousand dollars, and if they have to
help retrieve the kids you're talking another 40-70 thousand dollars.
This investigator is a very kind person who is going to help
me find some of the funding, but as you know there
"are no guarantees to that either"
I spent the afternoon asking the hospital administration to lend
a hand, and I'll be writing some letters to some officials tomorrow.
If anyone knows of funds available for international abductions
or comes across any in their internet adventures,
please let me know!
Don't forget the Prayer group that will be held at 8pm arizona time.
We are praying that they are located and I get to speak to them.
Once we have a location on them everything else is soooo much easier!
I am praying that his family as well will understand what really
happened and one of them assists in their retrival,...
but you have to be careful who you trust)

El Paso Mother Searching For Ex, Children
EL PASO, Texas -- Jennifer McConnell said she hasn't seen her kids in a
month,
since her ex-husband picked them up for the weekend.
McConnell suspected something was wrong when her ex didn't
enroll their two children, 12-year-old Omar and 7-year-old
Nadia Mahmoud, in school.
"I was asking him where Nadia was going to school; he said,
'I'm not sure; I'm doing the paperwork.' I called the school, and they said
he hadn't registered her there and they haven't seen him.
He didn't even set foot inside the school."
McConnell shares custody of the kids with her ex-husband,
Qutaiba Yahia Mahmoud, who lived in Las Cruces up until a
few weeks ago. But now she fears they're in Sudan (DUBAI)
and not planning
to come back.
She also worries about the
children's welfare.
"I used to have to pry him off of Omar; I used to get in between
him and Omar," said McConnell.
McConnell found out her ex moved out of
his Las Cruces apartment. Last week, she filed a missing person's report with Las Cruces police, but the children were removed from the database because, she said, a detective
decided it was a civil matter.
"They were out of the system for a full 24 hours. During that time, that's when he boarded a plane with the kids," said McConnell.
KFOX called FBI, but agents couldn't confirm or deny that they had a missing
persons case on them. Jennifer told KFOX a TSA agent was able to confirm visually the three going through a security checkpoint, a check that should have raised flags if the children were in the missing person's database.
"This was entirely preventable; they couldn't have been stopped on that
plane, in three levels," said McConnell.
